Black Friday lands on November 27 this year. That’s roughly six weeks away, and for Miami businesses that rely on Google Ads, local SEO and paid social, the next six weeks matter more than the holiday weekend itself.
Shoppers are researching earlier than ever. Adobe’s September forecast projects U.S. online holiday spending of about $275 billion between November 1 and December 31, and more of that journey now starts with a search, a social ad or an AI assistant weeks before anyone clicks “buy.” If your campaigns go live the week of Thanksgiving, you’re showing up after many buyers have already made a shortlist.
Here’s a week-by-week search engine marketing plan to get your business ready.
Week 1 (Now): Audit What You Already Have
Before spending a dollar more, make sure your foundation is sound:
- Conversion tracking. Confirm every lead form, call and purchase is recorded correctly in Google Ads and GA4. Bad data in November means bad bidding decisions in December.
- Landing pages. Check load speed on mobile, make sure offers are current, and remove anything that still references summer promotions.
- Google Business Profile. Update holiday hours now, not the day before. Add fresh photos and a post about what’s coming.
- Last year’s numbers. Pull your top keywords, cost per lead and best days from last season so you’re planning with data.
Week 2: Build Your Holiday Keyword and Offer Strategy
Holiday searchers use different language than they do the rest of the year. Think “gift,” “near me,” “open late,” “same day” and “deal.” Build or update:
- Holiday-specific ad groups tied to clear offers
- Negative keywords to filter out irrelevant bargain hunters if your business isn’t discount-driven
- Ad copy with real deadlines, such as order-by dates or booking cutoffs
- Location targeting that reflects where your Miami customers actually are, from Brickell to Aventura
Our Google Ads management team builds these structures so seasonal campaigns don’t compete with your evergreen ones.
Week 3: Strengthen Organic Visibility
Paid search gets most of the holiday attention, but organic still drives a large share of local traffic, and it gets more valuable as ad costs rise. This week:
- Publish or refresh a holiday landing page that can rank and serve as an ad destination
- Add FAQ content written the way customers actually ask questions, which also helps your business appear in AI-generated answers
- Make sure your name, address and phone are consistent across your site, Google and directories
- Ask recent happy customers for reviews, since review volume and recency influence both local rankings and clicks
A strong Miami SEO foundation lowers your dependence on paid clicks during the most expensive weeks of the year.
Week 4: Warm Up Your Audiences on Meta
Social ads work best during the holidays when people already know you. Use the weeks before Black Friday to:
- Run video or carousel campaigns that introduce your products or services
- Build retargeting audiences from website visitors and video viewers
- Test creative and offers at lower budgets so you know what works before costs spike
Our Facebook Ads and Instagram campaigns are built to feed qualified audiences into your search campaigns.
Week 5: Set Budgets and Bidding for the Peak
Competition, and cost per click, usually rises sharply around Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Plan for it:
- Set your target cost per lead or return on ad spend so you know when more spend is still profitable
- Raise budgets gradually instead of all at once, giving automated bidding time to adjust
- Use seasonality adjustments carefully. Google’s documentation on seasonality adjustments in Smart Bidding explains when they’re appropriate for short, predictable conversion-rate spikes.
- Schedule ads around your real business hours and staffing
Week 6: Launch, Monitor and Adjust Daily
Black Friday week is not the time to “set it and forget it.” Check performance daily, pause underperforming ads, shift budget to what’s converting and make sure your phones and inbox are staffed to handle the extra leads.
Keep Your Promotions Honest
Holiday pressure can tempt businesses into vague “best price ever” or fake-urgency claims. The FTC’s advertising and marketing guidance is a good reminder that claims must be truthful and supported. Clear, honest offers also tend to convert better and protect your reviews.
Don’t Forget What Happens After Cyber Monday
The holiday season doesn’t end on December 1. Many Miami businesses, especially in hospitality, health, home services and professional services, see strong demand through December and into early January as residents return and visitors arrive for the winter season. Keep campaigns running, refresh creative and start collecting data you’ll use for 2027.
